Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Maik3r (“we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you interact with our SMS/MMS messaging service (the “Service”). The Service enables general contractors and their field workers to log receipts, record labor hours, and generate invoices via text message.
Information we collect
We collect only the information necessary to deliver the Service:
- Phone number — used to identify you as a participant in your contractor’s account.
- Message content — the text and photos you send to the Service number, including receipts and labor entries.
- Metadata — timestamps, message delivery status, and the phone number the message was sent from or to.
How we use your information
We use the information to:
- Log receipts, labor hours, and invoice data into your contractor’s business records.
- Send you confirmations, reminders, and invoice notifications.
- Improve service reliability and troubleshoot errors.
SMS / text messaging
By using the Service, you consent to receive SMS and MMS messages from us related to your work with the contractor who onboarded you. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply based on your mobile carrier plan.
You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for help. Your mobile information is never sold, rented, or shared for marketing purposes.
Sharing of information
Information you send to the Service is shared with the contractor who onboarded you — that is the entire point of the Service. We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your data with third parties except:
- With infrastructure providers (such as Twilio for SMS delivery and Anthropic for message processing) strictly as needed to deliver the Service.
- If required by law, subpoena, or valid legal process.
Data retention
Messages and media you send are retained in your contractor’s data file for as long as they maintain an active account. Your contractor controls this data and can delete it at any time. Message logs held by our SMS carrier (Twilio) are retained per their standard retention policy.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we handle, including encrypted transport (HTTPS), access controls on backend systems, and secrets management for third-party API keys.
Your choices
You can:
- Reply STOP to stop receiving messages from the Service.
- Contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data.
Children
The Service is not directed to individuals under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from minors.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Effective” date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
